The fact that it is a big workload is precisely why the community
needs to do it. There are far better things for Google to be working
on, IMHO -- things the community has far less ability to help with
(e.g., advancing the OS itself). Google has a finite amount of
engineering time, much more finite than a lot of people think.

If you have the itch to scratch, start scratching.
