Someone who is intent on marking a harsh comment (having a bad day / month / year, paranoid, whatever) is probably not going to convinced by a certification.
Actually, it would be nice if there was a way to verify an android app. Maybe a "Verified by Google" kind of badge or flag in the market. I'd even pay a few bucks for that.
Making it like the i-thing, where you can wait for months to get your application approved? Not for me, thank you.
