Hi Android Developers. I am becoming an android developer myself :-) right now - out of sheer necessity. I have bought a chinese epad from sinadeal, and (a) some aspects do not work perfectly, (b) there is no "Android Market" installed on that device, so the 200000 apps are out of reach, and (c) I cannot send the epad back, because customs duty and postage are half the price - it would not make sense economically.
Now I am trying to save my situation by tweaking the device - wouldn't you try the same? I have bought this epad: www(dot)sinadeal(dot)com/item/product-122148/ www.sinadeal.com/item/product-122148/ It causes A LOT of problems, one of which is a non-existing "Android Market" APP. I have found APKs to install the AndroidMarket, but the installed APP ends immediately, in less than one second. So it is somehow faulty. Do I need to "root" my device? How to? Please help! Probably for installation of the "Android Market" APP, the device NEEDS to be "rooted"??? Also "Titanium Backup" says, it will only work on a "rooted" device. (1) How can I root that device? (2) Can you please tell me the official name of that epad? I do not even know how to googlesearch for that device. (3) How to boot it into "recovery mode" ? Thanks a lot!
