Currently I am able to overlay text on the live camera preview without a problem, as well i can overlay text on the mediarecorder preview while the video records (but the text doesn't save as part of the video).
I need to add text into a video stream, whether I render both to a canvas or surfaceview and then save the canvas to a video file (which I haven't found how to do), or insert the text into the bitmap of the onPreview of the camera, but in doing that I think the live video may be sluggish and more so, how to I save a video from frame by frame bitmaps? or I can record the overlay separate and post-process the video inserting it then, but I haven't found any information on editing a video, only playing.
