Hi Android Experts, I am trying to run android-2.6.32 kernel on zoom2 board. I downloaded the froyo code but facing problem with kernel panic when init is executed.
I downloaded kernel from <git clone git://android.git.kernel.org/kernel/common.git>. I checked out 2.6.32. The kernel are available at other repositories also, but they give a number of file missing for zoom2 configuration, and does not get built. It is the reason I downloaded kernel from git://android.git.kernel.org/kernel/common.git. and perform the following steps 1. configured for zoom2_defconfig, and built it. 2. Enable the android specific cofiguraion. I got this list from documentation/android.txt. 3. built the froyo frame work. read init.rc from ti/init_omapzoom2.rc dir 4. disable TLS_REGISTER. But the kernel panics. I googled for this. and found following solution for this problem 1. Disable TLS_REGISTER, as bionic libc does not support this register 2. check for boot args for kernel 3. stop most of the services frm init.rc I have appiled these all suggestion, but could not get any positive response. Please suggest me anything, I have a kind of blocked at this point. any suggestion will certainly help me. Please let me kn ow if any other information is needed.. thanks in advance. -Alok PS: Please find the log here.. Starting kernel ...
