I've been playing around with libusb on my Android 2.1 device. The tuts on the net speak about setting up the folders for the usb dev files but I did not need to do this. So I'm not sure if this is standard for Android devices??? That is should I expect most android devices to have these system files for connected usb devices?
The reason I ask is that I was thinking of dumping my native code and libusb and implement it all in Java. But if I have to 'mod' the device then I may as well keep using the native code.
