Syed, Maybe it is not the 'best' way of doing this, but I think it is good for what you want to do without spending tons of times writing a custom layout. Maybe you can do that (writing a custom layout) in one of the future versions of your app. :)
Using onWindowFocusChanged is fine, as long as you do the re-calculation (and re-layout) once when hasFocus==true.
