Not yet, but I will. And I'll get a response from a human being!

Contrary to Google, Amazon always replied no matter what I wanted.
Let us know what you get back.

OK, here's a follow-up. (Submitted query last night around 9PM. Got a response today at 3PM.)

In brief, I mentioned I didn't like them changing my free app's title; I pointed out that the product descriptions and bullet points were not very well written (it starts off with "decode public transit", whatever that means); I noted that they had gotten the names of features wrong; I told them that many things they listed implied more functionality than was actually offered, specially for the free version and that it all had the potential to be very misleading to users.

Here's the response:

"Our goal is to enhance the end-user’s experience and help them make sound purchasing decisions with the most accurate descriptions about your app(s).Our Content Operations team is made of technical writing professionals who analyze the app’s functionality and features to create rich descriptions without unwelcomed advertising or exaggerated/false promises.

The issues and retort you've outlined are compelling. My Content Operations team will adjust the app's title to "TreKing (Chicago) 4 Free" and amend the current description per your requests. Thanks again for your hard work and participation."

Boo ya.

However ... I did also ask what the point of us writing a description was if they were just going to re-write it and if it was possible to submit our own descriptions that met their guidelines and site format or at least have a review process where the developer could approve what Amazon came up with and they kind of ignored that one.

I'll see what they revise my descriptions to and I'll try them again if it's still not very good. Definitely not happy that the descriptions are basically ignored, but with this kind of customer service, I can deal.

In contrast my query to Android Market "support" about getting some clear cut explanations about the new stats which was submitted when they came out has gone unanswered, as usual. F*ckers.

Side-note, I sold my first Amazon copy of my app (bringing the total up to an incredible ONE!) and am $2.10 richer! Woot! I'm hitting the dollar store after work and splurging on TWO things! =P
