Simplified Chinese was recently removed from the available languages
list for Market descriptions. At the same time when the new paid
countries were added. Of course, it's entirely possible that one of
the PhD's with no actual "real life" experience simply removed it
during a clean-up exercise since no paid country uses Simplified
Chinese as its official language. Nonwithstanding Singapore, where
it's one of the 4 official languages, but unless you are well-versed
in global affairs, that's probably not well known.

Of course, none of us on here know the decision process for the
Android Market, but some of the choices made are just so puzzling that
it's hard to explain them with anything other than ignorance.
