Thank you for responding; it seems to be freeing up quite often, probably several to more than several meg of memory a second (if the numbers are right), depending on how often the view is invalidated. I know we are working with limited heap space, is this something we can optimize in our implementation or should we not be concerned at all? Most of the text is the same, but could be generated with new string instances for example. Thanks,
