strange. Can you try removing the USB driver from your system (reboot in safe mode, remove the driver, then reboot again). Does it solve the problem ? If yes, this is something we would like to be able to reproduce. If not, it's something else on your machine (e.g. bad hardware, like a broken USB controler, but it's hard to tell)
