I haven't messed with wallpapers too much but I wanted to point out that you seem to mainly focus on side to side scrolling. There are a couple of devices (that I know of I'm sure there are far more) For example, the MetroPCS Huwai Ascend has 9 home screens in a 3x3 grid. I mention this because that type of layout might effect what you are doing.
