I'm already using the rename *.png to *.PNG trick to avoid expensive optimizations. And I've disabled automatic dexing on file save in Eclipse (which has nothing to do with aapt which is always spawned on resource modification).
This 10 seconds freeze doesn't happen on a smaller project with fewer resources. While aapt is running, the Windows task manager shows cpu usage around 10% which seems low. This is really annoying...
