I see something similar with a Live Wallpaper I recently launched. The total installs (now users) went to 200 after 2 days and has been there since. These same 200 users keep on buying devices though, and keep installing the wallpaper on those devices, to where each user now has 4+ devices. These are some power users for sure, and they sure love this wallpaper.
What is interesting though is it seems they fixed the graphs on the web version of the market. For a day or so it showed a huge drop in installs for almost everyone's apps. These graphs seem to be updated with seeming regularity, just not the numbers in the developer console.
