HTC did this in the Sense 3.0 launcher as well. And I did get users emailing me and asking how to fix it. I had to tell them they were out of luck unless they wanted to download an alternate launcher from the Market. The ones who emailed me did understand that the problem was not my fault.
It's really disappointing to me that Google is removing this functionality in the stock launcher as well. The paralax scrolling of even static wallpapers is a very pleasing effect. In live wallpapers, it's even better. Honeycomb also has vertical offset changes when going to the app drawer, so you could add even more interesting effects. I understand the reasoning a little bit for Sense 3.0, because of its "carousel", but I don't see why they have removed it in ICS. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
