Your reply seems to indicate that you have some rather indirect concern.
I don't know I get what you meant by the above statement. As for me, I am thinking that once, say SMS/MMS, comes in, I just to transfer to my pc immediately.
Dalvik Debug Monitor Server (DDMS) seems to put the phone into debug mode, as the name suggests. Normal practice says once you are finished with it stop the service since it is for debugging only.
