To be honest, the level of effort to get ffmpeg playing video well on
Android is probably way beyond the amount of time you have for a
college project.  The people who make this happen are usually
manipulating hidden native Android APIs, which a bad idea anyway
unless you can handle the pain it will cause.  The information you are
looking for is out there, usually in a language that is not English.
