Good thing I asked....the answer is yes, not no.

I did get an answer on this offline from a friend and fellow developer,
but I need to get permission before I post it here (standard courtesy).
If/when I do get that permission (probably not until tonight or tomorrow)
I'll post it (or he might, when he reads this...whatever).  :-)

Oh, and it works great!  Much simpler than what I had in mind, too.
