I'm trying to design an app which monitors how often users check their email inboxes and also which has behaviour which depends on the rate of these checks- i.e. punishing for overfrequent checks.
As I'm new to Android programming, I'm not quite sure if this is possible as it would need to be dependent on another process which I'm not in control of (the default Email process/application that is used in Android). As far as I know, the email service runs in the background but when you check your inbox/open the application it runs in the foreground. Can you have behaviour dependent on a foreground process like this? Is there another way of doing this? Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
