You're running on the assumption that the user would be using the default email client. Such a thing may not exist, or be used, as the user can install any Email client they want. Regardless of that, being able to detect that a user is opening an email client, and specifically viewing their Inbox, would be quite a specific action to detect and considered to be a pretty serious security flaw, I think.
