Ouch. If that is the case, I absolutely do not recommend it. If you've paid for a single copy of the application and/or agreed not to copy it, then you certainly shouldn't do so.
The impediment, though, is legal, not technical. In cases where there is no legal impediment, the process of copying the .apk file, as I described, will work. G.
