Let me see if I understand you correctly.... You want to reset the ENTIRE DEVICE just to reset a database? Have you, by any chance, ever (seriously) considered using a nuclear warhead to kill a mosquito? :-) Delete the database and re-create it. It's reset. And you (or your users) don't lose everything ELSE on the device along with the database.
