Install a debian Chroot, and use apt-get install.

So long as you don't need a Native UI, then you have the entire debian
ARM repository available to you.

I've run AXIS/MAVEN on my handsets for SOAP interactive applications.
Works fine.

Yeah... battery life - not really in scope ;-)
