3-5-10 minutes and I'm pretty far from the land of eternal sunshine

You don't need to sync the whole thing (unless you're interested in things
like board-specific drivers and such).

Doing "repo sync frameworks/base" and maybe "repo sync
packages/apps/Settings" or some other app is much faster than downloading
the whole shebang.
