I'm not sure the Sensor Manager is backwards compatible? When I run: SensorManager sensorMgr = (SensorManager)this.getContext ().getSystemService(Context.SENSOR_SERVICE);
Under 1.1 it works fine. Under 1.5 it hangs. No errors, just sits there. If anyone else has had this problem, please let me know. I'm continuing to look into it. Cheers.
