Have you tried connecting an Android 'phone and using adb? I've never been able to get it adb to a device working on Vista, and despite moving from SP1 to SP2 RC, re-installing the driver, and everything else all I ever get is "The device cannot start (Code 10)" in device manager, so I'd be interested to know if the driver works on Win 7.
