Yes, that is why a lot of developers use SlideME. For instance, when Google/T-Mobile banned tethering apps, those apps showed up on SlideME. Bloo was another very popular app that was in great demand from users without access to Android Market. So basically, if you can't sell an app or buy an app through traditional channels like Android Market, then we are great alternative. On SAM, our mobile marketplace client, users are able to view a gallery of screenshots and even a video of your app, so it's a much better way to entice users into buying. Users can even scan a QR code from our web-site and then buy your app. We have over 40K downloads of SAM and HTC has put it on their Hero devices in Malaysia and Vietnam; we have another bigger distribution deal we expect to announce next month. So while Android Market may be the biggest out there, it's not really the best for the developer or user. -- Shane Isbell (Co-founder of SlideME - The Original Market for Android) http://twitter.com/sisbell http://twitter.com/slideme --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
