Please point out in the documentation where it says that. You are trying to apply logic here. When it comes to matching documented specs, logic gets tossed out, just as when it comes to following legal documents, logic gets tossed out. Don't get me wrong. I wish the HTC offered a better "approximation" than it does. It would be logical if orange showed up as orange when orange is clearly physically possible. But what I wish, and what is logical, is not required, per the docs. > The vibrator pattern is not an optional setting (at least according to > the link he posted) You will note that I said nothing about vibration, except in my last paragraph about other compatibility issues. If the Hero screwed up vibration in a way that runs counter to the documentation, that's a bug, both in the Hero itself and in the "is this compatible enough for the Android Market" process. > and on archos devices "ANDROID_ID" bears no resemblance to the spec. That is irrelevant, since they do not have the Android Market and therefore are welcome to do what they wish with the open source code, just as ROM modders are welcome to do what they wish with the open source code. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com | http://twitter.com/commonsguy Android Development Wiki: http://wiki.andmob.org --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
