yes.. if I understand it correctly, only apps that can run on the device using the market app will show up.. they shouldn't even see apps that wont run on it. However, someone correct me if I am wrong, but I also understand that if a user buys a 1.5 app while having 1.5 on their OS.. and then that app is updated to support 2.0 minimum, the 1.5 user can still get that update.. and it may result in the app crashing or not functioning properly on the 1.5 device. Because of this, developers need to make sure their apps run on all older OS versions and not just on the emulator. Hence, it's going to be tough for us single developers to really get our app tested before releasing on all devices. This is why there is some comments here about the Market app being updated to help support developers a bit more. Offer some sort of forum/thread commetning system, and allow more text for app info, so that developers can better respond to users who post and give bad marks. Users should be able to go back and redo their mark setting for an app as well. Suppose I dont like an app, I give it 1 star. The author responds and lets me know they are working on a fix.. I like that.. they informed me, so I would give it 3 stars and update my comment. It should be the TOP comment in the thread, so that when suers peruse the list of comments, my updated comment replaces my original only because my original might say something bad, but I change my mind because the author of the app responded.. I don't want people reading my negative comment. Sure..with a threaded forum like system they could expand the comment and read my updated one below.. but not many people will do that.
