FWIW,we (Android team) have been running 2.1 on our personal phones
for weeks/months and we use apps from Market, etc. It is very possible
that some apps are affected by changes in 2.1 but there can be two
reasons to this:
- the app was relying on a faulty behavior pre-2.1 and we fixed that behavior
- we've introduced bugs in 2.1, in which case you should report them

However, there are no known major compatibility issues I am aware of.
