I think that as long as you replace the icon in your build, and the
new one is not there, the only reason that a phone would show the old
one is due to caching that will be refreshed periodically.  I know
that I updated my icon for my app, without even thinking about this
issue, and no one made any complaints about it creating double icons
or not updating.
