I do not see any reason why a type of application done on an Android
platform or for an iPhone should not be able to be ported to other
smartphones.

As an application developer, I'm in general happy about that as I
would not like to limited my application to only one type of handset/
platform, but would like to have it avalible to as many people as
possible, no matter their prefered handset brand.
