Tomorrow, on April 21st, the open source developer and Google research
scientist T.V. Raman will be a keynote speaker at the W4A conference in
Beijing. Perhaps (respectively hopefully) he will speak about the
accessibility plan for Android but maybe he won't have Google's permission
to talk about this important issue. The worldwide accessibility scene seems
to be very curious about details and so he perhaps have to repeat always the
same words: "No comment".

On the same day, Yoshinobu Nakamura
from NTT DoCoMo (Oha member) will be a speaker at the ITU/G3ict Forum in
Geneva. Maybe he will announce some news if T.V. won't do? Hopefully both
will provide information! You can find links for this two events at the open
letter.

I don't know if anything will become public but if some of you hear
something interesting, I would be glad if you could inform me via this list
or via pm. Then I can and will report the news at:
http://blind.wikia.com/wiki/Open_Letter_Initiative#NEWS_2008

Although it's not realistic, I wish you all success with your submissions to
the challenge. I wonder if all submissions will become public after May, 05.
Best regards, Per
