The goal of Android was to remove the gatekeepers who existed, were
preventing open access for the developers to the handsets. So they
used open source Linux, and themselves plan to make Android open
source. The question is - would Continua function as a gatekeeper to
the wellness devices? If it is closed source *and* embedded into
Android *and* functions as a gatekeeper, then warning bells would go
off because it will remind people of a certain company in Redmond that
operated the same way.
