Impressive. Here are some quite notes: Ubuntu seems targeting MID Mobile Internet Device, whereas Android targeting Phone. While the markets for MID and Phone are overlapping, there are some emphases or different tendency.
*MID(4-7 inches touch screen) slightly larger than current regular Phone, making it ideal for game fans. *2GB to 8GB Flash or disk storage, 256MB+ memory/512MB+ recommended. This is also larger than Android default(64MB). *seems no phone stack included in their datasheet. *User interface in HTML, Flash, Clutter, Python with GTK, C/C++ with GTK and Java. This seems over-skilled. One word, this is just mini mobile desktop, can do everything without much restrictions. But considering a typical current phone user, who is going to carry that bulky device all the time except geeks or game fans? On the other hand, considering Android conceived 3-5 years ago, some assumptions then made might not be viable in today's market, such as the default memory and flash disk. Another impression is the bunch of popular web 2.0 integration and VoIP which can catch people's attention, and in the same time hesitate away phone carriers. Lastly, the price is not going to be affordable to a lot of users who just want a convenient communication device.
