As the hardware gets better/smaller, devices like the n810 while a little
bigger than an iPhone will still be small enough to carry around in a
pocket.  I wouldn't discount the smaller MIDs that are a lot more powerful
than the typical phone.

That said, the target market for a MID is totally different than the target
market for a phone so comparing them is not really a useful exercise.
