After hunting around for apps to put on AndAppStore.com and I can
confirm that there are very few apps in the wild (let alone finished ADC
apps). There are some build from source, there are some demos, but very
few "user ready" apks.

Many developers seem to be holding off for the launch of the G1, but
it's a kind of chicken and egg situation, if developers don't release
their apps they run the risk of missing it on the initial buzz, but if
they do they release the app early they run the risk of loss of user
confidence if it doesn't work as expected. So which should be first the
G1 or the apps? (and there are, of course, those outside the US who are
hindered by lack of available of a G1 at launch)

Given the "Release Early, Release Often" mantra in the Cathedral and
Bazaar I would have expected to see a few more apps around just to get
the user hooked, but hey, I may have missed some.
