Hi,

I know it might be a dumb question to ask -- but since despite
goggling around the net and these groups I couldn't find much, I'm
going to ask it anyway :)

Aside from the Android Marketplace announcement here
http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2008/08/android-market-user-driven-content.html

and the related blurb "Developers will be able to make their content
available on an open service hosted by Google that features a feedback
and rating system similar to YouTube. We chose the term "market"
rather than "store" because we feel that developers should have an
open and unobstructed environment to make their content available.
Similar to YouTube, content can debut in the marketplace after only
three simple steps: register as a merchant, upload and describe your
content and publish it."

didn't see much of anything else addressing the question in the
subject.

I do have a Google merchant account, but there is no category / option
over there allowing to specifically say "I'm listing an Android
Application".

I couldn't find specific info about how apps are going to be made
available through the marketplace / G1 appstore either. I'm assuming
via OTA, with .apk downloaded through HTTP. Is there also going to be
a desktop sync / desktop manager install tool sort of thing as well?

If anyone could shed some light or point me in the right direction I'd
much appreciate.

Thanks!

- Adriano
