Thanks Al and Shane. Most convenient for developers would probably be if the PAD format got extended to support Google Android and its APK files. Membership of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP) for access to forums to advocate required changes is not free though ( https://www.asp-shareware.org/newmember.asp ).
My own provisional Android PAD file is at the URL http://phone.seeingwithsound.com/padfiles/android.xml but it is not yet a perfect match for Android apps because the PAD format currently only supports established OS's like Microsoft Windows, Windows Mobile, Symbian, Linux, Mac OS X, RIM, Palm etc. Whatever the selected release file format, it has to be a format that will be used by the vast majority of distribution sites. I understand that adding PAD file support will imply some effort, although I think ASP already pretty much packaged all the key elements for developers and distribution site owners - minus any Android specific things, of course. > Any reason you're not using "Handheld/Mobile" in the OS field?
