Amazon's Everywhere App on Nokias S60 platform just fires up a browser 
pointing to the Amazons site, so you wouldn't be the first use that 
solution :).

I was toying with the idea of an AndAppStore.com that did pretty much 
the same thing, fires up, checks the "install from non-marketplace" 
setting, and the just spins up a browser pointing to AndAppStore.com.
