All of these things (and more) are possible on an S60 device with apps installed (and running) on the sd card. My e90 would - at worst - close all active apps when I went to eject the sd. (If nothing was using it it didn't even do that, just said "ok" and off it went.)
The core problem is that - as is common with android - the security model is preventing users from doing standard activities on their devices.
