You may wish to reword the part of your blog that reads;

because as I understand your email you agree the modifications in 
cupcake alone don't "open up the ability to run applications off the SD 
card" . There are a number of bits of work which need to be put into 
place before that ability is opened up.

You may way to change "opens up" to something closer to "will help the 
ongoing efforts to open up".
