There has been some discussion in this forum on possible business
models for Android applications and whether displaying adsense ads via
your applications would be an example for one.

Just wanted to share my experience with this.

What did I do?
===========
I developed an Android application and published it for free download
on the Android Marketplace. When the application starts, it opens a
Webview that displays a web-page I designed. The Web-Page welcomes the
user to the application, informs about further Android applications I
am developing - and displays a Google adsense blog.

What happened?
============
It worked great! The application was downloaded several thousand
times, received good ratings, and I got a solid click through rate on
the adsense ads.

Why is this negative?
================
It lasted exactly six days. Then Google deactivated my adsense account
as it - according to Google - poses a risk to their advertisers. No
information what this risk consists in and how Google came to this
decision.

Google offers a possibility to appeal against accounts being blocked.
I did so, but never received a response.

Anyone here who made similar experiences?
