I'd be concerned about it as a generic solution because it would require all apps to get the internet permission, and there are some apps I certainly wouldn't want to give that to (e.g. password safes).
@Tobias You may want to look at OpenX Market (currently in Alpha - http://www.openx.org/en/market) or OpenX Hosted (http://www.openx.org/ad-server/get-openx-hosted). I floated the idea of Android/OpenX integration past them and they're pretty sure you could also use their xml-rpc and their API so wouldn't need to use a webview if you didn't want to.
