Thanks for bringing up this important issue. As an Android publisher
of three free games (chess/checkers/reversi) I was also shocked and
even saddened to receive some very rude and usually unfounded emails
and comments over the Holiday (often claiming that the game cheats
while in reality people typically do not know the proper rules of the
game). In fact, it even made me decide to temporarily retract checkers
from the market (see http://aartbik.blogspot.com/ for some thoughts on
this) because the comments on particularly this application really
crossed a line for me. As you can see from other replies, the Android
team is aware of this and working hard to make the market a civilized
place again!
