I teach IT to young kids, up to 8th grade. You would be shocked at the number of mommies, usually trophy wives, who have absolutely no clue as to what Johnny is doing on the internet. And the other extreme is that they do not allow their child to have an email address. I am trying desperately to move us toward a paperless campus and it's like pulling teeth. Education should be at the cutting edge of IT and they are living in the early eighties in many schools because admins still see the PC as some kind of magic typewriter that needs no white-out and magically sends out letters without a stamp. On the other hand I do have some twelve year olds who do their homework on their iPhones. They are all fascinated by my G1.
