I've just been informed by a member of the T-Mobile staff on how to save
some battery life. He tells me to switch to 2g mode rather than 3g, which I
already know to do, but the the interesting thing is he says that when ur
accessing the browser and such it switches back to 3g it self and then back
again to 2g. And it seems to be working.
I suppose the only downside to this would be when ur receiving e-mails and
stuff, they won't reach u as quickly which no biggy.

You don't use the G1 handset I am guessing or not much of it's features.
Anyway I don't really care because ur just 1 person, u don't represent the
whole.

Some things that I have pointed out r genuinely things that I think r at
fault. Others r things that I would like. But I want them intergrated into
the OS rather than third party software which would slow the phone down. I
was wandering only if it would pick support enough for the authers of OS to
take notice and implement changes. Yes I am aware that u can reach most of
that which is listed, but in manner that is not entirely smooth. I know what
the end user wants, and what the OS needs to gain even more popularity.
Having conviniance for the end user results in more handsets sold, just look
at how desirable iphone is.

Can't comment on the above since I don't care about them at all. If
they interest you, maybe you want to write the software to do them.

The ability to remove the icons from the slide-out menu suggests the
ability to lose them entirely since the next step is to garbage can
them. Definitely don't want to do that. Keep them there, but it would
be nice if they were categorized.

Its a personal device, not a multiuser workstation. The data
protection function is accomplished by pattern locking your phone:
Settings --> Security and locations --> Screen unlock pattern.

It does... when the age of the call exceeds one week.

If you use that dial pad, it will beep at them. Don't use the dial
pad, use the contact manager. You can run any programs you want WHILE
ON A CALL without causing interruption. While on a call, the purpose
of the dial pad is to either start another simultaneous call (i.e.
call waiting, 3-way calling, etc. -- option available from the menu),
or "for service in english, press 78762411225778".
