What has tmobile to do with anything? Forget about them, they're
irrelevant.

An update for ADP1 has very recently been "leaked". It updates the
system from version 1.0 to 1.1, however, the features you would regard
as "cupcake" are not present. It is hard to tell how this update
relates to cupcake, however, a couple things become obvious with this
software update;

1) presumably it was to be released at some point through official
channels and most likely will yet, or at least it will be shipping on
new ADP1's,
2) it includes a new function to manually check for updates.

Now the implication of this is very clear; the intention is there to
provide ADP1 with updates, which means that yes, you can expect future
updates for ADP1. Now note particularly that the updates are MANUAL
for ADP1, unlike the G1 which receives updates AUTOMATICALLY. This is
clearly better for the ADP1, since automatically updating it would
cause serious grief to a lot of people -- imagine it automatically
wiping out your customizations in favor of a stock update...
