This whole thing would be a lot less confusing if one of the googler's had
been forthcoming when the "adp 1.1" image was first released. (The person in
question said, in so many words, that they knew which image it was and were
running a copy, with a strong implication that it was what we had guessed.
Sigh...)

To clarify/reiterate, the quoted post is correct (and the story linked
earlier has been updated as well.) "ADP 1.1" (so named because it says
"Android Development Phone 1" and "version 1.1" on the about pages..) was in
fact the stock image for a google holiday phone, and the 2-part update is
the development bootloader (not as useful as the "hardspl" version) and then
the new rc33-equivalent image.

Whee.
