I'm one of those people that travels a lot, and carries a pocket full
of sim cards from all over the place - android's concept of when I'm
roaming is somewhat different from mine

In particular I'd like to be able to turn on/off 2G and 3G in a
smarter way - for example I live in New Zealand - I have a vodaphone
sim card and I want 2g/3g on there - when I land in the US (still with
that sim card in place) I'm roaming and it turns off, if I drop an
local card in it thinks I'm not roaming any more (I think I am)

Since I can't code anything down at that level I'd like top make a
suggestion to the android devs:

make 2g/3g/roaming switchable on a sim card by sim card basis and
allow the box to remember old sims so this state can be retained
